| I'm currently sitting in my English class, and we just finished having the most delightful discussion we've had so far concerning the government and how it's run. Not sure if everyone follows the news, but thanks of our glorious leader, President Bush, as of October 17, 2006, by using our military as a smokescreen, our government has the right to detain any and all prisoners suspected of terrorism without informing them as to why. This should COMPLETELY be against the rules of the Geneva Conventions, but those damn fat cats in Congress have found a loophole around it, and even the Supreme Court, who recently said that any organization outside of the military doesn't have the right to proceed as such. Thanks to this new law, torture is practically fair game, as we don't have to follow the guidelines of the convention.
Now, this may or may not seem like a big deal to some, but this is EPIC. Our government has, in essence, sanctioned a revival of the Salem Witch Trials or Red Scare McCarthyist politics. People now apparently have the right to accuse seemingly innocent people of being terrorists, and said people can be arrested without probable cause, and tortured for information that they may or may not have. This is a violation of human rights, and we have the politicians to thank for it. I urge everyone to lift your voice and say that this won't fly. We live in a country built on true democracy. Don't allow yourself to be corrupted by the thinly-veiled imperialism the United States claims to be "enlightening" the rest of the world with. Elyse is right, people. We NEED to vote. We can have a hand in changing this! *Sigh. Being politically active can be troublesome...but, as the title, and perhaps Star Wars will tell you,
The Republic Is Slowly Becoming An Empire.
Thank you for putting up with my politically charged rant.

| Dreams.
For many people, they are a gateway to the impossible. A portal through which, wishes are achieved. For others, they are clairvoyance personified. (If you don't know, clairvoyance is basically the ability to see into the future.) I happen to fall into the latter more often than not. This strange ability of premonition has earned me the title of "Oracle" among my wrestling buddies, and within several circles of my family. But lately, I've been having dreams I could consider weird.
These dreams involve a certain lady friend of mine, and in them, we're dating. There's no explicit sexual content, just that she boasts about me being her boyfriend, and then kissing me. Then I wake up.
Now, normally, I'd dismiss it as merely wishful thinking. But when one has the same dream eight of the last eleven days, it becomes a little hard to ignore.
I know I should trust my instincts, as the same phenomenon led me to Pam nearly two years ago. But the thing is, I had consciously buried my feelings for her nearly seven months before. But I've felt NO feelings for this girl before. None whatsoever.
Maybe it's because I was dating Pam when we met. Anyone who knows me can tell you. I absolutely detest all those who are unfaithful with an INTENSE UNFLINCHING HATRED. (It's why I wish the most horrible possible death for Adam Copeland and Amy Dumas: WWE's Edge and Lita.) So it was possibly a subconscious repelling of any feeling toward her other than friendship.
But now that I'm single, perhaps the mood has simply changed...
I don't know.
*Sigh* Troublesome.

| PEOPLE COME INTO YOUR LIFE FOR A REASON I
am sending this to you to see how many actually read their e-mail. Your
response will be interesting. Pay attention to what you read. After you
have finished reading it, you will know the reason it was sent to you.
Here goes:
?People
come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know
which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone
is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have
expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to
provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically,
emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any
wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will
say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they
die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes
they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that
our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The
prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some
people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to
share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you
laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually
give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But
only for a season.
LIFETIME
relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in
order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the
lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all
other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is
blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.
Repost this to see how many replies to it you'll get!
0 Replies - you may need to work on your "people skills"
2 Replies - you are nice but probably need to be more outgoing
4 Replies - you have picked your friends well
6 Replies - you are downright popular
8 Replies or More - you are totally awesome
I wonder what mine will be.

| Not sure if everyone had heard yet or not, but Steve Irwin, The
Crocodile Hunter, died today from a stingray sting to the chest while
filming a new documentary. He was 44.
Damn. I mean, I knew it would happen eventually, as death is the
one fate all humans share, but I wasn't expecting it. No one was.

| Yeah, so Ms. Robins' wedding was yesterday, and it was wonderful. I
spent a lot of time brooding at the reception though...but whatever. I
don't especially wish to discuss that though...so don't bother asking,
I won't say. But that's not why the world is all good once again.
JEFF HARDY HAS FINALLY RETURNED TO THE WWE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's about it.
Peace.
